Maintenance of facilities constructed from Fenollar to Amadorio to optimise the use of water and its proper exploitation.

Pipeline that links the deposits of Rabasa and Fenollar and their corresponding impulse. This work aims to ensure the supply of the regions of L'Alicanti and Marina Baja, where an overexploitation of aquifers is occurring.

The purpose of this initiative is to supplement the volumes corresponding to the Tajo-Segura transfer for supply and irrigation that, may not be transferred due to the scarcity of resources in the headwaters of the Tajo, or at least reduce, the deficit of application of the irrigated areas dependent on the transfer, by an additional contribution of resources from desalination.
The works included in this action correspond to regulation and distribution works needed to supply the towns of San Juan, Alicante and San Vicente de Raspeig with desalinated water from the desalination plant of Mutxamell. The construction of three regulation tanks have been planned for this with storage capacity for 33,000 m3, 4 drives and 17 km of pipelines.

The initiative is divided into two project divisions:
- The works of division No. 1 are in progress.
-The works of division No.2 are pending tender.
The infrastructures included in this action include regulation and distribution works needed to supply drinking water from new desalination plant of Mutxamel to the towns of Campello and Mutxamell (Alicante) and connect the system with the Rabasa-Amadorio pipeline which currently is in operation (See the data sheet of the action Rabasa-Fenollar-Amadorio pipeline). The works included in this action can be summarised in the construction of 3 tanks with a total volume of 16,000 m3, 4 pumping stations and 26 km of pipelines.

The aim of this action is the provision of new resources to ensure supply of the L'ALACANTI area. This new source of supply frees underground resources of overexploited aquifers and allows, in emergency situations, to support the supply of the Marina Baja region. To achieve this goal a new seawater desalination plant is being built in the town of Mutxamel with a production capacity of 50,000 m3/day, extendible to 80,000 m3/day.

OBJETO DE LA ACTUACIÓN:
Conducción que conecta los depósitos de Rabasa y Fenollar y su correspondiente impulsión. Esta obra tiene por objeto garantizar el abastecimiento de las comarcas de L'Alicantí y Marina Baja, en donde se está produciendo una sobreexplotación de acuíferos.
ESTADO DE LA ACTUACIÓN:

El objetivo de esta actuación es complementar los volúmenes correspondientes al trasvase Tajo-Segura para abastecimiento y regadío que, pueden no trasvasarse por escasez de recursos en la cabecera del Tajo, o al menos reducir, el déficit de aplicación de las zonas regables dependientes del trasvase, mediante un aporte complementario de recursos proveniente de la desalación.
Las obras incluidas en la presente actuación corresponden a las obras de regulación y distribución necesarias para abastecer a los municipios de San Juan, Alicante y San Vicente de Raspeig con agua desalinizada procedente de la desalinizadora de Mutxamel. Para ello se han previsto la construcción de tres depósitos de regulación con capacidad de almacenamiento para 33.000 m3, 4 impulsiones y 17 km de conducciones.
