The action aims to improve the water quality of the Sueca ditches by intercepting waste water discharges and disconnecting them from the network of ditches. This way, the effluent generated is reused efficiently by the waste water treatment plant of Sueca by its discharge into the Major ditch, and thus increase the susceptible irrigated area and change the crop types to be irrigated. The water quality and quantity inputs to water bodies of the Natural Park of L'Albufera are also improved by incorporating tertiary treatment to the effluent that is not reused for agricultural purposes, using a new green filter.
