Description of worksState:

The urban centre of Pi, located in the province of Lleida, is located two miles south of the town of Bellver de Cerdanya and is an annex to it. This town has no sanitation system, dumping sewage generated in the Pi stream, which drains into the river Segre. The action involves the construction of a collector to send the waste water generated in the urban centre of Pi to the waste water treatment plant at Bellver, thus avoiding direct discharge to the Pi.

Description of worksState:

The town of Sant Jaume d'Enveja, in the province of Tarragona, does not currently have a system of for waste water treatment, carrying out the discharge of waste water directly to the River Ebro. Waste water discharges are characterised by being greatly diluted in the summer months by mixing the sewage with the surplus irrigation from rice fields, while in the winter months such dilution does not occur. The action involves the construction of a new waste water treatment plant which can handle an average flow of 2,426 m3/day and construction of auxiliary pipelines.

Description of worksState:

The town centre of Térmens, in the province of Lleida, currently has a sewer network that is not in use and a sanitation infrastructure to make contributions to irrigation water, which discharges with no treatment directly to the river Segre. Furthermore the town of Menarguens near to Térmens, currently has a collector that collects waste water from the town to which various irrigation branches are incorporated, and as in the case above, the water is discharged into the river Segre without any treatment .

Uldemolins WWTP (Tarragona)

Description of worksState:

The town Ulldemolins, in the province of Tarragona, does not have any waste water treatment system, currently discharging them through two points to the river Montsant and a third point in the Olla canyon. The action involves the construction of a waste water treatment plant capable of treating current discharges current and those planned in the future.

Horta de Sant Joan WWTP (Tarragona)

Description of worksState:

The town of Horta de Sant Joan, in the province of Tarragona, does not have waste water treatment system, since the waste water treatment plant is out of service, causing dumping of untreated discharges into ravines of Vilans and Les Vinyasses, tributaries of the river Algars. The action involves the construction of a new waste water treatment plant capable of treating an average flow of 756 m3/day of waste water and construction of collectors required to address dumping in the ravines indicated above.

Extending the outlet collector of the Alguaire waste water treatment plant (Lleida)

Description of worksState:

The town of Alguire, in the province of Lleida, has a waste water treatment plant that has never been put into operation since it does not have a collector for the discharge of treated water. The action involves the construction of a collector that discharges the treated water into the waste water treatment plant, so that now this can be put into operation.

In some sections of the lower area of the Ebro, lack of investment and facilities have made the river more of a problem than an asset for the conservation of a heritage that generates wealth and identity. The purpose of this action is the construction and equipping of four visitor centres in the towns of Xerta, Aldover, Mora d'Ebre and Tivenys. The new interpretation centres will disseminate to the public information related to fluvial dynamics, galachos, islands, meanders and river beaches that exist in the lower Ebro

Construction of fish ladders in the azud de Xerta (Tarragona)

Description of worksState:

In the lower section of the river Ebro, from Flix to the mouth, there is only one obstacle that causes a breakage of river continuity: the Xerta weir. Currently there is a fish ladder in the weir, that is of a successive pond typology, located about 80 m from the right bank, which is not considered suitable for the passage of river wildlife due to its geometric characteristics and typology. This project involves the construction of a new fish ladder that allows the presence, in the delta area, of ​​wildlife species that currently have a minority representation.

Restoration of different wetlands in the flood plain (Tarragona)

Description of worksState:

Formerly, in the final section of the floodplain of the river Ebro, there were many points for the discharge of karstic aquifers from the surrounding mountains. Today most have disappeared. The only two remnants of this ecosystem that pose a unique haven of biodiversity are the Marjal of Campredó on the left bank of the Ebro and the Carrova ullals on the right bank, which have a notable state of degradation.
