Almanzora -West Almería Link Phase I

Description of worksState:

The resources generated through desalination are incorporated into Almanzora-West Almería pipeline 1st Phase in the header pool of Venta del Pobre, through a drive that lifts water from the desalination plant in Carboneras. This action provides the infrastructure network that distributes resources for irrigation from the Carboneras desalination plant in Campo de Níjar.

STATE OF THE ACTION:
The plant entered into service in August 2005.

INSTALLATIONS:
Acuamed, Sociedad Estatal Aguas de las Cuencas Mediterráneas (State Agency for Water from the Mediterranean Basin), is a public company wholly owned by the Spanish state.
