Description of worksState:

The action aims to environmentally recover the stretch of the river Segura within the municipality of Alguazas. This stretch of the river Segura is quite degraded mainly due to pollution and manipulation by man.

Furthermore, it takes into account the functionality of the works so that not only one zone is recovered but sustainable uses are also promoted, whether recreational, such as fishing, walking or other sports; teaching, such as observation points for riverside species; and conservationist, as part of minimising the potential impacts of other activities.

INSTALLATIONS:

Regrowth of the channel on the right bank of the post-transfer Tagus-Segura. End section of Segura siphon to the start of the Campos del Río aqueduct

Description of worksState:

This action has increased the capacity of the channel on the right bank of the Tajo-Segura distribution channel through the regrowth of the two side walls of the channel, in order to improve the transport capacity of the water.

INSTALLATIONS:

Section VI: works of the Cañarico branch

Description of worksState:

The action involves extending the distribution network of Valdelentico at around the end of Section III to connect the branch of Section III to the distribution network of Valdelentico, with the Cañarico area in the town of Alhama in Murcia.

This stage takes into account the works needed to distribute the water produced in the Valdelentisco desalination plant for irrigation and urban supply to part of the Murcia Region, areas of Sucina, Los Martinez del Puerto, Alhama and Fuente Alamo and bordering adjacent areas and to the north of the post-Tajo-Segura transfer zone. It includes the propulsion works and regulating deposits to raise line 290 desalinated water, hydraulic system distribution head with conductions that work with pressure by gravity with 85 kms.

And 4 annual regulation pools of an approximate volume of 4 hm3.

INSTALLATIONS:

Desalination plant to ensure the irrigation of the Tajo-Segura transfer

Description of worksState:

The purpose of this initiative is to supplement the volumes corresponding to the Tajo-Segura transfer for supply and irrigation that, may not be transferred due to the scarcity of resources in the headwaters of the Tajo, or at least reduce, the deficit of application of the irrigated areas dependent on the transfer, by an additional contribution of resources from desalination.

Carboneras desalination plant

Description of worksState:

The infrastructure consists of a desalination plant for seawater with treatment capacity of 120,000 m3/day, and a pipeline to supply water to the town of Carboneras and Agua Amarga (Pedanía Nijar). Guaranteed resources are generated with the action for the supply and to East Almería and for irrigation to Campo de Nijar. These resources are then distributed with the infrastructures included in the proceedings "1.2.c Interconnection Carboneras- Almanzora" and "6.2.c Connection Almanzora -West Almería Phase I".

Project for additional works of the Mutxamel desalination plant towns of San Juan, Alicante and San Vicente del Raspeig

Description of worksState:

The works included in this action correspond to regulation and distribution works needed to supply the towns of San Juan, Alicante and San Vicente de Raspeig with desalinated water from the desalination plant of Mutxamell. The construction of three regulation tanks have been planned for this with storage capacity for 33,000 m3, 4 drives and 17 km of pipelines.

STATE OF THE ACTION:
The initiative is divided into two project divisions:

- The works of division No. 1 are in progress.

-The works of division No.2 are pending tender.
